Pastor Shannon L. Norman, Sr.
Biography
Shannon Norman, Sr. was born in East Saint Louis, IL, to Andrew Scott and Theresa Norman, as the youngest of a set of twins. His upbringing was challenging, marred by alcoholism, drug addiction, and gang violence. However, through God's grace, Shannon defied the odds and did not succumb to his adverse environment.
He received his education in the East St. Louis school system before attending Atterbury Job Corps in Indiana, where he earned certification in Carpentry and Building Maintenance. Returning home, he married his high school sweetheart, LeKeisha Norman. The couple has three children and will celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary on October 14, 2024.
In the early years of his marriage, Shannon experienced a spiritual transformation. He was saved by God and, during the Winter Revival of 2003, received the Holy Ghost. Shannon has always been passionate about barbering and is now a licensed Barber and Barber Instructor in Missouri and Illinois. He is the owner and CEO of Masters Shave and Grooming Company in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Driven to deepen his understanding of the Scriptures, Shannon pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and Theology. Answering his call to ministry, Shannon was ordained as a Minister in September 2013 under Pastor Mark W. Ratliff Sr.
Following God's plan for his life, Shannon and his family relocated to Bourbonnais, Illinois, where he joined True Holiness COGIC under Pastor Alfred Williams. On August 11, 2016, he was ordained as an Elder during the Northern Illinois Jurisdiction’s 97th Holy Convocation, led by Bishop Cody V. Marshall. Shortly after his ordination, Shannon received permission from Bishop Marshall to continue his ministry.
